Embedding and Maximising the Vulnerability Action Plan

Carolyn Belafonte and Claire McFadden from Avon and Somerset Police host a session on how Avon and Somerset are using the plan to create a framework used to tackle vulnerability. Their session is entitled: Embedding the national vulnerability action plan; Avon and Somerset's response.

Karen Manners presents a session on maximising the National Vulnerability Action Plan.

Responding to Vulnerability-related Risk and Working in Complex Environments

Dr. Debbie Allnock, Senior Research Fellow at VKPP, presents a session on the role of police in responding to child and adult vulnerability-related risk: A meta-analysis of 126 reviews of death and serious harm. 

ACC Dr. Jacqueline Sebire presents Vulnerability and Violence Partnerships: how can we work together in increasing complex environments? 

Serious Case Reviews

Liane James and Sarah Cooper present a session on serious case reviews and how to take learning forward. Their presentation is entitled: Single Unified Safeguarding Review (SUSR) - illuminating the past to make the future safer. 

Deputy Chief Constable Sarah Crew, Avon and Somerset Constabulary, discusses Project Bluestone: Transforming the police response to rape. Sarah is the National Police Chiefs' Council Lead for Adult Sexual Offences. 

Leaders in Child Protection and the Voluntary Sector

Sir Peter Wanless, Chief Executive Officer of National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), presents the work of the voluntary sector and the VKPP.

Simon Davies, Lead Inspector for Child Protection, hosts a session on policing in the pandemic - protecting vulnerable people. 

Responding to Covid-19

Gemma Stannard, Strategic Hub Lead working with Norfolk and Suffolk Police, presents an overview of the national police response to Covid-19. Her session is entitled Policing the Pandemic - what we have learnt so far...

AC Louisa Rolfe, NPCC Lead for Domestic Abuse, presents information on domestic abuse during Covid-19. 

VKPP Achievements and Question and Answer Session

Gareth Edwards, Director of VKPP, talks to Simon Bailey about what the programme has achieved over the last three years, and where it is heading in the next twelve months.
