The NPCC MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) Guiding Principles is a brand new document, developed to enable leaders from across partnerships, who have responsibility for MASH (or other safeguarding referral) functions, to  have a common understanding around “what does good look like”.

The Domestic Homicides and Suspected Victim Suicides 2022-2024 Report, released today, examining domestic abuse related deaths in England and Wales has shown the scale of domestic homicides, and for the second year in a row, suspected suicides following domestic abuse have overtaken the number of homicides involving current or previous partners.

Now in its second year, this annual report from the Vulnerability Knowledge and Practice Programme (VKPP) sets out publicly a clear, detailed picture of reported Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) crimes across England and Wales.

The Home Office has confirmed funding for a new centre aimed at enhancing public protection efforts and addressing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

A new guide, published by the VKPP, provides additional information on various types of safeguarding reviews, where policing often plays a central role.

The VAWG Strategic Threat and Risk Assessment (STRA), now in its second iteration, has been published this December and is available on the NPCC and VKPP website.
