Identifying Vulnerability in Policing Sharing and Learning event for Analysts and Researchers

Tuesday 13 February 2024:  9am - 5pm

We’re pleased to invite you to attend this new event, hosted by the Vulnerability, Knowledge, and Practice Programme (VKPP). Aimed at intelligence analysts and researchers in policing, it will focus on how we can better identify vulnerability, share emerging practice and provide the analytical and research community a chance to network.

Policing has seen prolonged, significant increases in demand associated with protecting vulnerable persons. It continues to be a very challenging area facing policing, with increasing levels of demand, complexity, and scrutiny, and this event will aim to bring policing colleagues together to explore the latest knowledge, research and innovation. Key topics we will cover throughout the day include:

  • contextual safeguarding in practice
  • risk identification
  • partnership working

We already have an exciting range of inputs from both internal and external speakers.

This is an in-person event which is free of charge (accommodation is not included but can be booked through the College), at the College of Policing in Ryton. Lunch along with tea and coffee during breaks will be included. Registration will be open from 9am on the day of the event with speakers starting promptly at 09:30am.

We would encourage intelligence analysts and researchers to attend this event to support your knowledge of and connections to the wider analytical and research community.

As in-person delegate places are limited, we encourage anyone who is interested to register as soon as possible via the attached booking form which will need to be completed and returned to events@college.police.uk Places will be given on a first come, first served basis.
